Mountain Bike Hall of Fame and Museum Sneak Peek
The One That Got Away!
Bike Rumor posted their first in a series talking with framebuilders about their early days and specifically bikes they wish they hadn't of wrecked, sold, or had stolen. Freewheelin'
This rare look at mountain biking circa 1983-1985 was shot and edited by famed kayaker Wolf Ruck. Largely forgotten, this video wraps up what was happening in the mountain bike scene before the MTB explosion, namely riding singletrack with a few buds, some great racing, and observed trials. Thanks to Brian Vernor for the heads up on this one.

Dirt Dispatch: Swift Industries' The Stoked Spoke October 1st
Feeling like you might lose your stoke as we descend into the colder, darker months? Well, join Swift Industries once a month for a recap of what rad rides exist in the Pacific Northwest. Similar to sitting down and watching your elders run through slides from family trips past, you can check out what adventurers from the area rode and experienced, all while slammin' drinks and eating greasy foods.
If you feel like you have a tale to share and some rad photos to accompany the presentation, shoot an e-mail to: jason@builtbyswift.com
